white90 bit of a difference thou - 3-4 meter steep drop with a lovely little muddy pudle on the end off it - OR 150-200 meter long drop with end no were in sight - and thats just going straight !!! rather take the muddy drop (always!!!!! ) I think I would have an accident and need new pants if I looked down the side!!!!!!!!!!!!

All those Europeans can’t be wrong............ (Maybe there would not be such a chaos on our roads after an inch of snow??????????????? ) If the temperatures drop below +7C you should change into winter tires. Normal winter tires - not off road tires are usually directional, they don’t loose their flexibility in low temperatures and still stick to the road better then the summer ones. More rubber on the road is better - maybe have 2 sets of tires? The tread should be no smaller then 4mm and they can have cca. 0,2 bar more then summer ones And something to keep in mind if you off to Europe for a break in your car - In Italy and Austria it is compulsory to have winter tires in certain areas, In France there are signs in the mountain regions. If you have an accident in Germany or Switzerland without winter tires you might have problems with the insurance as you will be getting a bigger portion of the blame. Off to Finland? - compulsory winter tires from certain time of the year. .................. use of studs? In most of the Europe only allowed on special vehicles and mountain regions (sorry landyandy - not a lot to do with your tyres but it made me feel much better about myself )

We take testing quite seriously as some of you are aware, I very soon hope to add to our web site details of a hydraulic destructive testing rig we have made which will give conclusive comparison data on stock and aftermarket halfshafts and CV's. I think this will make very interesting reading, if you have any left over KAM, GKN, Maxidrive or other shafts just send them along for us to break! no point testing "left overs" need nice new shiny stuff

Dollythelw had really nice and comfy seats in his PIG. Dont know where he got them from, but they were reclining, not too high on the sides, had 5 point harnesses. And he sat on them and slept in them for 6000 mile trip including 1200km of serious off-roading at Ladoga. And afterwards they went of to Latvia, Litvania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France - gosh that man gets around!!! (and I think all this in 3 weeks!!! ) ask him how was his arse???

I find the attitude of some of the post on here unbelievable. Just because we drive big Land rovers does not mean we should drive with the "Volvo" attitude. First rule of road craft do not allow your personal feelings to interfere with your driving standard "Red mist". My rant over everybody please be courteous to the driver in front or behind. It will make you driving so much more pleasurable. You don't have to drive a Landy to have that attitude. I did have a Volvo and now I drive a Peugeot. With my old Volvo I used to hunt down boyracers - good fun that was. Most of the time I find that Landy's and other "slower" cars give a way nicely, and you can sqeeeeze in ok. Its the posh cars with the driver on their mobiles who just assume you let them in. Why not slot in BEHIND you? Why wait till they get to the end of the slip road ? just to get few cars forward red mist is good and my attitude sucks - well hey - welcome to my world - and I say thank you when somebody does a nice thing for me (like let me out of my drive or to join a queue) not ranting - just facts

testing a product. I would be happier about buying something this expensive ( ) IF it has been tested by at least few hundred people and over a longer time period. Different surfaces, speeds, cars, compatitions ................ till then I will rely on already used, abused and proven CVs you know " one swallow does not make a summer" ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aaaaaaaaaa, thanks I managed to find a navigator for the Ladoga trip but I bit unsure about the uk navigator. My portals will be on hopefully soon and then here I come - demolition derby!!!! I might take somebody underage - can use them and abuse them to my heart content Pay them in mars bars - easy!!! If they break then just trow them away and find a another one Or just wear short skirt and high heels in a bog - can get away with anything .... works with mister Policeman!!! (oh I am sooo naughty!! ) If you got an advantage - use it!!
