  2. 1, What is the difference please? 2,Can i put GL5 in a series transferbox without ruining it(The transferbox not the oil)? 3,Can i use ep80w/90 in (defender 10 spline)if so GL4 or 5 Thank you in advance Angus
  3. I had a clunk on my old series 3 on turning, could not find it, until i got out one day to find front wheel at bit of an angle as front wheeel bearing had worn out.easy fix in my case
  4. disco front prop shaft is designed to work with diff and output from gearbox out of line ( diff is tilted up a bit) you might need to check if your ones are in line or you might get vibration on overrun
  5. Hi graham ,i run a 14" pacet fan on 35amp glass fuses but cheap ones dont last long .you can test what current yours uses with a couple of spade terminals a bit of wire and some blade fuses (a mixed pack from halfords or free from any scrap yard in your pocket) Use the next size up from the one it blows. "vehicle wiring products" into google or the search button will give you relays etc to suit. Kenlowe will sell you their silicon rubber band if you use a capillary type switch to sela onto radiator neck Angus
  6. I've had a bad vibration caused by my front propshaft uj breaking up,but new genuine uj and it is seems to still have a slight vibration.Prop is ok but if you shove front prop flange it moves a bit in the diff ,can this bearing be done with diff in place ?Angus
  7. I've used a lucas one but if you search "vehicle wiring products" he does a good range. Mines wired in 35mm and works fine Angus
  8. No 5 day brake line installation course yet then?
  9. Cant you just joint the two pipes together?I am sure if you do it just above the flexi's it would be ok?someone else may know better?
  10. As above ,I have never seen my one move, the silicon hoses swell up but never seen rod move or do you have to really rev it for a long time? Help please I dont want to blow it up! thankyou Angus

  13. Hi my 200 tdi engine almost dies when you lift off after reving it, did it before i changed the timing belt and filter, still does it now.Anyone else had this? any suggestions please
  14. Anyone managed to find a pulley for the disco alternator which fits the larger v belt (waterpump crank and pas pulley)when pas pump is not fitted? Glencoyle just use a thin belt on their "200di"conversion or so it looks Angus
  15. Have nearly finshed my 200tdi conversion, but am wondering if any one knows if petrol /diesel landrovers had different sender units, mine reads half way between normal and hot (clocks are 1971 Diesel 11a) with series sender in 2.5 petrol adaptor into 200 tdi housing. Any ideas please
  16. the disco ones are 3.54:1, so they will gear up your final drive but put the gearbox under a lot more strain, goodluck
  17. all the mounting points where the body and chassis meet are probably turning to powder so will want attention,if you lift the tub the weight of the bulkhead will probably destroy the tunnel/ sills/ floor so strip it and do it properly once or just bodge it up and have a "to do" list a mile long good luck
  18. i am about to change the belt etc on my 200 tdi engine has anyone used britpart parts for this i dont want to have to do it again belt is dayco rest of kit is britpart thank you
