  1. Yes, correct. Now on topic: I dont'n think the glows are the problem and since you have changed the lift pump with no positive effect I suggest a compression test.
  2. Uh...How exactly? It takes ground (electrical circuit closes) through the engine, otherwise it won't glow. I hope you know that.
  3. Good news! We have contact again. Postal services are the troublemaker. Package will be re-send, hopefully this time with no problems. Thanks everyone!
  4. Paddock's +2" lift kit with Procomp shocks has been installed on two Disco's here. It was a year ago and everything is ok at present. I think shocks are same as for Defenders...
  5. Yes, especially on flange drives. The props usually have stamped arrows, at least mine do have...It's all about ballance
  6. Steve, if it comes to UJ's replacement - buy GKN's . About the sliding joints, my humble experience showed that they cannot be lubricated properly through the grease nipple. Is't much better to separate the two halfs of the propshaft, then clean and lubricate generously. In this way you can also check the slide's plastic cover( rilfan? ) Don't forget to check the stamped markers on the two prop halfes before assembling. Hope it make sence
  7. A friend of mine torture them almost a year and they are still ok...
  8. - 20*C is severe enough to get Britpart's one-shot grease almost frozen, 15W40 as well. EP90 becomes to a grease so it's ok
  9. Totally agree with than one! And one more thing: Have anyone seen how the grease looks like in a cold winter? Yes, its almost frozen and it takes time to warm up and during that time the CV joints, bearings and seals cannot lubricate properly...
  10. Thanks Keith, it would be interesting to know what exactly happened
  11. Тhese £20 were covering both the parts and the carriage, yes. 9 for the bearings and 11 for delivery. I don't care about £20. I assumed that they may be lost as it was a test order. Anyway, lrpshop failed, regardless the reason. I have thousand £ orders from Paddock and they proved to me as a fast&reliable supplier(though they offer some low quality parts) cipx2, thanks for your replies
  12. No, I did not phone them(because of my english ). They charged me ~ 20 quids - I've received message from my bank. So they are not a "black hole" as I thought and all they have to do is to find the right path(interlink is what you need mates) to my country. Thanks for quick responces, appreciate that. I will continue to use Paddock services.
  13. Yup, even additional e-mail conformation by their sales advisor. I've asked them a few days later to send me order's tracking number(as an usual paddock procedure) and since then nothing...
  14. Did anyone bought something from http://www.land-rover-parts-shop.com/ ? Living in Eastern Europe I'm forced to order through the online shops because of the crazy local dealers... So I ordered a few bearings from the site above, just to test their services. The order has been placed a month ago and still nothing..no bearings received and no feedback... Usually I'm using Paddock services with no problems at all, but these one appeared to be very unreliable... What would you say? P.S. Sorry if this post is kind of commercial.
  15. FYI Tested it harder offroading - it did not fall out, so mountings are ok
  16. If it's your first diesel car, keep in mind that diesels are always air hungry Even brand-new LandCruisers smokes a bit...
  17. Here it is - a Bearmach head lamp mounted&adjusted. I hope it will give you a clue.
  18. wizbit0, do you hear the turbo swiching on around 2000rpm? Does it have torgue as usual?
  19. I had no problems fitting & adjusting it...I'll get a picture for you later so you can compare.
  20. Hi all I have the same problem since my PAS box had quite of stroke, because of a road accident. The full left turn has gone, so I had to compensate it by the drag link. I checked all the rods, swivels, bushes, joints, geometry etc. and all of it was OK. Is it possible that wobbling to be caused by the pas box? I'm about to replace it anyway but I dont'n want to be hasty with it as the new box is quite of money...And hard to find also - it's a LHD Disco 1
  21. Thanks Les! The best LR forum ever! Especialy "How to with Les" ;)
