Dan D90
Hi, I'm new to defenders so please forgive me for what I'm sure is an obvious question. I have recently purchased a rebuilt 1990 defender 90. It has had a chassis change and a TD5 engine. Whilst, it seems mechanically sound there are a few loose ends that need to be finished/fixed. There is currently no bonnet release, no cable or release handle. There seem to be two different bonnet release handles, are the bolts in the attached picture for the later TD5 release or something else? Any help is much appreciated. Peaklander
Yes that's the TD5 position. I have a 300TDi but the pedal lock was fouled by it so I changed to TD5 and mounted it there.
Scotts90
Yes td5 setup, just don't buy a Britpart cable or handle...you may at best get the bonnet to open once before it breaks.

I had this exactly. Get a second hand one from eBay.
