joseph smithson
Hello I am new to the world of Land rovers. I Have purchased a 3.9 Range Rover Classic engine for a boat project I am doing. Where would you recommend I buy the engine rebuild components. I have looked at so many places with a great price variation. Some places seem to be selling the same piston rings but at inflated prices. Is Brit part worth looking at or wold you stay with Rimmer Bros or turner engineering. I am an engine builder by trader but never had to source parts for Land Rover many thanks
Bowie69
V8 Tuner is a good helpful place, get all Rover V8 parts from him.
=jon=
If you are in Berks Real Steel are in Uxbridge and do loads of bits - they are also very helpful if you need to ask for advice about anything..
FridgeFreezer
Avoid Britpart, it's russian roulette at best. Reel Steel and V8 Tuner are good. Aside from that, just buy genuine Land Rover bits (not pattern, not OE) from whichever mail order place you prefer, I use Brit Car mail-order and Keith Gott as they're local. Sometimes, even main dealers will go genuine bits at sensible prices so it's worth an ask.
