Go for a branded quality one if you really want one.

I stay away from them as I've seen a few very nasty accidents with them when the attachment points are not as good as they were beleived to be..

IF you use them, use a safety bridlle to keep things from flying too far...

It will give some ideas of the forces involved in recovery.

I prefer winch recovery where possible as you can control the forces applied. KERR puts a lot of force in to the operation, and if a recovery point fails can be lethal.
