Andrew10
Hi, i was wondering if anybody good help. I have a 300 TDI defender it’s just started struggling to start. Sometime it starts straight away but other times it fires up for a split second then stops. If it does this it takes some starting. The temperature outside is not cold, so I don’t suspect the glow plugs. Any ideas? regards
Yostumpy
turn on the ignition, open the bonnet, put your hands and head down to the fuel cut off valve, on the fuel pump, and carefully move the wires. if there is a click/click noise, then you have a bad connection. should only click when on/off. monkie
Air in fuel. Check the condition of the fuel lines starting with the spill rail and security of the unions.
