hurbie Posted October 7, 2019 Share Posted October 7, 2019 hello all , a friend of mine has a 300tdi 110 , and had me look at a failing power steering . no oil movement in the reservoir so i suspected a faulty pump . removed the pump , and while waiting for a replacement i openend up the pump , turns out the shaft is broken in half .... is this a common fault on these pumps ? ar do ik need to investigate further ? I just put it down to bad luck as I had a puncture on my works car so went to take my 110 and saw a trail of red fluid as I rolled off the drive.
