Defender
My 3.5 V8 was converted to LPG a long time ago and I don't have any paperwork for it. My insurance company have asked for a certficate that I cannot provide. What actually needs to be checked as such as there seems little information on any of the websites I found. The only LPG place near me only seems to do certain makes of install and just want to sell me a new system which I don't want to do at £3,000ish, although I do appreciate that the tank may need to be replaced if it's old. Cynic-al
Security of tank, pipework under car etc. Shutoff valve working at tank / engine bay, emissions of vehicle and correct operation. I've never known them x-ray an lpg tank or a pressure test or anything like that. I don't think they want to take on liability for work they haven't done so not sure how easy it will be to find someone. I'm no expert though
Bowie69
Tanks are dated (12 year life I think?), so that is certainly one thing they otherwise it is as Al says.
