Mathias Pedersen Posted April 23, 2020 Share Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone, so about a month ago I decided to tackle the job of getting rid of the 'water in diesel filter' warning light on my 2000' Discovery 2 TD5, because the light kept coming on and off. So I unscrewed the sensor let the water drain out until I saw only pure diesel coming out, and I decided I was going to clean up the sensor as well. So after putting the sensor back and plugging the connector back in, I turned the disco on and now it stays on all the time eventhough I drained all the water out of the filter. sierrafery Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 Hi, those sensors are not the best design and they fail quite often, IMO as long as you change the filter after every 5K miles or so that sensor is useless, unplug it and tie up the wiring as to not be hurt and that's it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
