kevin50
Just about to start putting axles back together, on my 109.Didn't notice this extra hole when I took it apart, there was only 6 bolts. Anyone know why this extra hole is there ? it is same on both sides. Stub has 6 holes
Snagger
If that is the front axle case, then a previous owner may have tried fitting later (coiler) swivels to have CV joints and disc brakes - their axles have an extra bolt at the bottom of the swivel challis. Otherwise, I don’t know - I’m not aware of any Series axles using seven bolts for the stub axles.

That's how I could fit them to my S1 with 12 bolts and a spacer.
