MadBob
I wanted music in my LR 110 Hardtop 1998 Camper and was looking at the effort and cost to fit a MUD centre console (or DIN for smaller units), wiring it in and adding somewhere to mount the speakers, plus it would be nice to be able to move it and reuse anywhere I wanted, anyway I had the idea of using an Anker Soundcore Motion Boom, so I designed and 3D printed a simple bracket, mounted that to the dash to hang the speaker on, the rubber feet rest on the parcel shelf top. Job done, easy and I can unhang and store in my lock-box in seconds. I connect my phone and play anything with surprising quality, you can link 2 of these together wirelessly and I am going to hang another in the back for even better sound. I should add that I have soundproofed my LR fully with Kilmat and fitted thick rubber carpet from http://www.wrightoffroad.com/ / stuck 4 way stretch van lining to the roof and walls, so it's fairly quiet for a LR. Total cost / parts /time: Anker Boom - £71 delivered (Amazon with 15% discount and free £10 voucher) 24hour playback battery 3D bracket £1.31 (self print) I uploaded it here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5832587 2 screws (left over from other job) Blob of JB Weld to give the screws some grip in the dash Strip cut from old fleece beanie to add cushion A couple of hours printing 10 minute install (which included taking photo's, and drinking tea) little bit of spray-glue bleed The other holes were from whatever the previous owner had screwed to the dash (keep meaning to find a fix)

Phill B
Ha nice! I use the JBL Flip in mine. Just squeezes into the dash behind where yours is quite nicely. Hooked up to a USBC cigarette charger.
reb78
Very tidy. I have a classic car to restore at some point and will be doing similar in there but a little more hidden so I can retain the original LW radio! Yes, the sheer effort of fitting a full audio system was putting me off, when it was never designed for this (and I turned this 110 into a full pop-top camper) so this is a compromise. Sigi_H
I used something similar. That is really a simple way to install. But it is anoying to switch everything separartely on and start the app you want to use in the phone. Even starting a web radio is effort. Handling is a lot more complicated than a normal car radio. Next problem is the usage in foreign countrys. This will eat a lot of data, if you listen to radio. One of the nice aspects is, that you can take the BT speaker out wherever you want. Surely not that hard? My bluetooth speakers power on when you plug them in to charge (so ign on in this case) and connect to the phone automatically. Turn spotify on (as much effort as changing radio station) and off you go....
Sigi_H
Maybe methods are different in these days. I had that 4 years ago and it was my experience in this time. But anyway: All these aspect has to be taken in account. Even a possible accident. All speakers, wich are only "hanged" on a hook will beat you quite hard. I suspect most of us have a lot of stuff that will fly around like debris in the event of an accident. The speaker in this post looks pretty well secured so would be the least of my worries... Sigi_H
since I had an accident some years ago I don't love negatives, but I know realities
