Benji55
I’m rebuilding my 90 on a new richards galvanised chassis. I’ve just noticed there’s no holes for the brake pipe clips like on my old one. Is this normal? Also, I’m not keen on drilling the new chassis, does anyone know an alternative ? Thanks
Retroanaconda
Yes it’s normal, you have to drill them.
hurbie
mine's a Richards also (110) and has no holes , on some points there's a dimple were the hole should be , but not al holes are "dimpeld" so i take the measurements from a old chassis . just paint the drilled hole inside with a good primer. Litch
As above, I fitted a Richards chassis back in 2020 and there were no brake-pipe holes (or for the fuel-lines as I recall). Easy enough to sort. Just drill the holes where you want them to be (which may not be where they were on the original chassis), clean & paint then rust-proof. western
No holes in my Marsland chassis for brake/fuel pipe clips, I drilled as needed & used stainless rubber lined P clips & tek screws.
Benji55
Thanks everyone. Just wanted to double check before I drilled holes.
Retroanaconda
Yes it feels wrong. However in practice some small holes in the top surface will never cause an issue, particularly if treated. I drilled holes and then used the factory brake/fuel pipe clips.
