need4speed Posted July 6, 2023 Share Posted July 6, 2023 After talking to Nige recently he advised we needed upgraded spark plugs, a lead to allow ecu to talk to laptop, and latest disc with 4.6 map on it. The engine running so rich there was more petrol in sump than oil Nige was supposed to send me a request to my PayPal for the above stuff but I haven’t heard from him since What are the best plugs to use? This adapter works perfectly to convert USB to serial, windows or mac: https://amzn.eu/d/hkSwKvd If your engine is running rich, don't assume it is MS, if it is getting bum signals, e.g. Coolant temp, or even a knocked off Map hose it will run stinking rich. So what's changed? The MS map hasn't, it won't do that by itself.... If it has had any tuning in the past replacing the map with one from a 4.6 is just going to put it back to square one.
