For the faff I'd consider just using an LT77+LT230, it's a tigher fit but a nicer end result with a range of ratios available and a much stronger case. The shift action is arguably much nicer and more enjoyable than the 5 speed boxes and there is just something about a 4 speeder that fits with a Series.
