Fandango
I have County 90 2.5D 1987 I started the engine to get it running and after about 5 minutes could smell burning and I looked behind where I was sat and could see a lot of smoke and so I turned off the engine and disconnected both battery terminals. I went to open the back door and could see the burnt out wiring with bare metal strands which was the black wire going to the near side rear tail lamp. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same experience or if they know why it happened? Help is appreciated Thanks Fandang
western
I suspect the purple 12v permanent live feed was shorting out & caused the mess you now have.
Fandango
Thankyou for replying to my concern? Can you tell if it has shorted where abouts can this happen? The cables were insulated and so U have ruled out fraying and touching of wires? Can damp inside the lamp unit cause this and why did the fuse not blow?
