ZF PAS pump inlet - can you remove it & turn it around?

Recommended Posts

This part on top of the PAS pump where the supply hose comes in:

Can I pull it out or otherwise remove it and rotate it 180 degrees or would I end up having to tap the hole & put a fitting in?

PAS pump is P38 V8 if that makes any difference, I think they're mostly the same or very similar across most of the ZF range.

Yes, that is a generic ZF pump, as also used on (some) Freelanders. But with subtle differences, like the position of the inlet and the flange for the pulley. Which can mean a lot of tinkering to get a FL one to fit a P38 while stranded in a French forest... But we managed (many thanks to my mate Wouter!) and it's still going strong today. 🙂
