FridgeFreezer
This part on top of the PAS pump where the supply hose comes in: Can I pull it out or otherwise remove it and rotate it 180 degrees or would I end up having to tap the hole & put a fitting in? PAS pump is P38 V8 if that makes any difference, I think they're mostly the same or very similar across most of the ZF range.
Bowie69
Remove hose, tap round with rubber mallet to desired position... It is just pressed in. If you find a pic in my LGT thread I have done it to mine to make hose routing easier.

FridgeFreezer
You star, I'll give it a gentle tap with the rubber persuader tomorrow!
Escape
Yes, that is a generic ZF pump, as also used on (some) Freelanders. But with subtle differences, like the position of the inlet and the flange for the pulley. Which can mean a lot of tinkering to get a FL one to fit a P38 while stranded in a French forest... But we managed (many thanks to my mate Wouter!) and it's still going strong today. 🙂
FridgeFreezer
Well, I tapped it part way round and then couldn't tap it any further because stuff was in the way so I put a large adjustable spanner on it and just gently twisted it and all seems well! Thanks all, much neater now! 3
Bowie69
Excellent, and yes, no idea why it was the other way round from factory....
