Astro_Al
Hi, if you can it'd be great if you could measure the shafts too before you fit them? And possibly paint a straight line down it just to humour me? Al.

Hybrid_From_Hell
Lockers, HD SHafts, tut tut..... ................and what will the ARC say about all this then Nige ....... Nige
ltwt1981
Yes so it seems but they come with the outer flange etc as well. Metal looks OK, the proof of the pudding will be in if they last, at £110 for two a couple of years would be OK, I've broken 4 in the last 12 months. Tonk
, I've broken 4 in the last 12 months. thats not bad for standard shafts, i used to do that many gearboxes in 12 months
ltwt1981
Nige, yes they asked me to trial at Nellys last year when I scrutineered but had to decline on non compliance grounds. Would have passed scrutineering no trouble though! I spoke to Ed last night on another subject, will be in touch. Tonk I like to be gentle with mine, treat it like a woman and all that. 02GF74
Here are some pictures, I have some more but these should help. Sorry they are big but I thought it would be better for these Nige T it would be worse if they weren't in focus Would I be righ to say that they are larger in diameter than standard - looking at the end with the threaded bit (wheel end) and the step in the splines to make the diameter smaller? Astro_Al
>"it would be worse if they weren't in focus " Yes - will it be possible for you to measure them before you stick them in? Al.
ltwt1981
I'll see what I can do.
02GF74
I'll see what I can do. Very likely your camera is focussed on the background. Most cameras, inluding digital, have a focus lock achieved by partially pressing the shutter release (usually a visual indicator e.g. green LED is lit). You then back the cameera off a little bit to allow for the thickness of the half shaft and fully depress the shutter release. It may take a few attempts to get it sussed. Tonk
or just put it on manual focus
ltwt1981
Right here goes. Splines outer ends 28.3mm Splines inner ends 28.3mm Diameter of long shaft 27.25mm Diameter of short shaft 27.15mm (Different batch maybe?) Long shaft excluding threads 886mm long Short shaft excluding threads 629mm long Sorry for photo quality but these were taken a 7am before going to work, if needed I could take some more before fitting. I will measure the old shafts when they come out as a comparison.
Tonk
so the middle of the shafts are wasted by 1mm?
