I'm looking for a 4 core Heavy Duty Radiator fo a Series IIA. Many places are out of stock, some say they stopped doing them due to lack of demand, others say they just can't get them anymore. Anyone out there know where I can source one?

Assuming it's 4 core because it has four rows of galleries, then I have one in excellant condition, if your interested I can take a few piccies for you.

Andy

Excellent, that would be great!

Feel free to e-mail me pics and any other info you may have

Have you tried commercial or plant radiator specialists?

Yes, the closest I got was to get one built in alloy from scratch £380

The only on-line shop to have one in stock is in Vermont $239.95 and approx another $200 for shipping

I got mine from Paddocks, but most are the same price (this is the s3 type)

Ive looked at recoring and its scary money.

I phoned Paddocks today they're having problems getting them, they said they had not had any for the past 6 months!

I need a HD 4 core with a decent electric fan to cool a 3.9 V8i

I have 3 spare S3 radiators down the shed. I'll check later today to see if any of those are 4-core items.

Les.

I didn't realise S2 and S3 rads were different, The one I have is a S3.

I didn't think they were either, What I have is a Series IIA, so I figured a II, IIA or III would all fit, maybe I'm wrong. The existing rad is on custom mounts anyway and if there are any discrepencies they can be changed.

IIRC the dimensions are different between SII & SIII - it's to do with the headlamps being in the centre panel on earlier models.

The head lamps on mine are on the centre panel, I like that look and I hope to keep them there.

I'll measure the radiator, only way to be sure. The radiator itself is shot to hell so it has to be replaced, I'm just looking for the best option. It will be doing a lot of towing so I'm looking for the most efficent radiator for the Series backed up by an electric fan.

The measurements for the existing Radiator are as follows 535mm high X 485mm wide X 110mm deep.

Originally my 2a (66) had a rad with a large brass header tank, it was much deeper than the current series 3 rad I have fitted. I have been looking for a good original rad, but they are hard to come by now. I wish I had kept the old one for recon, but at the time I did not realise the value.
