90challenged
the stick goes up to where it should but no reverse movement. theres no grinding noises. its an LT77, any common problems anyone knows about? is it just a snapped shaft? if so is it eaier to replace the box or the shaft? thanks
LR90
Sure its not just the rev light switch that needs adjusting/replacing?
90challenged
the reverse light never worked beforehand as one of the connectors was snapped off. there's literally no drive when its in reverse. 1st 2nd and 3rd all work fine just no backwards movement when its selected. any advice is welcomed with open arms

90challenged
i see, i'll give it a go and try taking it out for the moment as theres no reason for reverse to be broken. thanks, i'll let you know how i get on.
90challenged
thanks for the advice. worked a treat and saved a great deal of time. just got to put the floor back in etc as i thought the box was coming out. bit of a change of topic but do you know if you can take the wires off and wire them to a switch that would run a work light at the back? Pete Attryde
Glad we helped. I guess you could but it would probably easier and more reliable to just run all new wiring from the fuse box via a switch on the dash to the back of the truck. Pete. western
If you fit a manual switch for the reverse lights it MUST have a in cab tell tale warning light, so you can see when the reverse lights are on, or just fit a new switch to the gearbox & keep the automatic operation then no telltale is required.
