GBMUD
I have some Hardy Spicer U/Js here but I do not know if they will fit my Td5. Will they? They are HS166 and HS195, does either of them fit a 2004 Td5 110 prop shafts? I could do with knowing fairly promptly if possible. Thanks Chris

BogMonster
front or rear Chris? not sure of the answer but the front ones are bigger UJ's on newer vehicles... the rears are the same as 300Tdi vehicles.
GBMUD
Mmm, thanks guys. Bearmach sold me a new, much larger one. Best I check and make sure if they are the same on the rear. Cheers Chris
BogMonster
The rear is the same as the small type UJ on 300Tdi's 1994-98, p/no RTC3458 I think. God only knows why they made the front one bigger and not the rear one, which takes more of the strain in many cases...

I'd assumed it was down to differences of R380 dimensions that creates greater angles on front, hence wide angle UJ's. Just an assumption though. BogMonster
Nope - the early and late propshafts are interchangeable - in fact the genuine part for the old one is now superceded to the new one.
