RD 128 - Not as good as RD56, the RD 128 we have seen can suffer from air leaks on the air in system

some we have had calls immeaditely after being fitted in some cases :(

IMVHO Your better off buying a secondhand RD56 24 spline unit than a new version,

where they changed the air in system, do a search on forums make your own mind up

I run RD 128's and have never had any problems with them. Also have fitted a fare few into other vehicles without any problems. What i will say is if your not sure about building and fitting them dont do it !!! Be aware that you MUST use the TIMKEM type bearings ! Others do not fit corretly and will give you an air leak problem on the seal housing not sitting in the right place. Also you will need to do abit of grinding if using later diffs, only on one side of the diff to the bearing cap and Diff housing as its very near to the diff.

RD56 is now discontinued ! got to move with the times ;)

I recommend Steve at Crown Diffs for anything to do with ARB's
