Ian M Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 when i switch my engine off and remove the key (its an 86, 90) the battery lights stays on and the guages stay about a couple off mm's from their normal rest position, ive tried disconnected and reconnected the battery but it made no difference? is there anything common for holding a ignition feed on or something? western Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 Sounds like a diode in the alternator rectifier pack has died & is letting some battery current back through to the gauges, get the alternator off & into a auto electrics agent.
