m&mv80
as the title says really, i have a superwinch hydraulic pto and would like to fit a switch to it so i can have a light on the dash to tell me when its engaged, i notice there is a bolt in the top of the housing where the actuator plunger goes through, is this just for a detent spring or can i fit a switch here? thanks martin

m&mv80
that would be great, thanks very much martin
Hybrid_From_Hell
Or make a bracket and fit on it a switch - say maybe a series brake light switch, then when you pull the lever the switch nipple (Oooer) pops out (Missus) and light comes on etc nige
m&mv80
yeah i did think of that, the only thing i was concerned about was any mud getting into the switch, if it was to screw into the housing like i hope it will then this wont be a problem, if not then an external switch like you described will get fitted thanks martin
jericho
Mine is only an external add-on switch.Doesn't look very well protected from the elements, but still works.

FridgeFreezer
Attach a small magnet to it somewhere and use a sealed reed switch - sorted.
