The Badger
A strange mounting hole and then a gap and then the transmission. perfectly in line with each other. It looks like there 'should' be something there, holding the transmission... Sorry I can't tae a photo of it as im not close to my truck right now, will do later on. Anyone know about this, or has a new 90 with a transmission mount at the base that is connected to the chass, the bracket is in the middle of the truck directly under the gears. western
this has been mentioned before, I looked under a brand new 110XS we had @ Greenbelt last year, it was the same with a gap, making it look like a mount was missing, maybe the location on the gearbox is for use in a transit. The Badger
Well im kind of glad about that, however it seam odd, and I wonder if this will stop a weird clunking noise I get when changing gear and speed-up or slowing down. It feels like the gear box is banging on something / moving... It's a weird one and I have mention it before am still finding the solution. Mack
Mine as well. Also the chassis has the hole just under the gearbox, so I do not think it is a transit problem. I get the clunk when stopping the engine. Somoething around the gearbox hits the floor.

alantd
Mine's more of a "chug" or "thump" than a clunk. Doesn't sound like metal-metal contact, more like harsh vibration or shake in the transmission. I can't see any witness marks of contact either. Only happens when the clutch is depressed and doesn't happen at high speeds (although I can get the start of it changing from 2-3 and 3-4). I want to consult the dealer but am afraid I'll just get the standard "that's Land Rovers for you" answer. Might put a few more miles on it and then take it in. The Badger
yep, it's the same here though. If im holding onto the gear stick then it does feel like that is moving somehow? I just don't know what it is? Am i've got the same trouble with my dealer...
