surprised the wiring hasn't been affected too.

yeh i was told that back in the early 90s during that time the landy at the time did 5 over night trips to cornwall and they never gave any problems and i had it for 6 yrs as i said i tried to fit 10w bulbs inthe s2a i have now but the lights are wipac and they just melt the lenses.

Aren't there MOT/Legal issues here anyway? I thought that 5 or 7 watts was the maximum you could use in sidelights, also there is a limit to the amount of light you can put out when the vehicle is parked.

If it's dark enough to need any lights you should be on dipped beams.

What he said - more than 5/7W is illegal, and if it's dark, turn your bloody headlights on - just how tight do you have to be to try and save using your headlights?

im not saying i just drive with my side lights on but if its to light to use h/lights or if its lightly raining thats when i would use them. as far as the mot i didn't have any problems but as i said that was in the 90s things may of changed now.
