Hi all,i have just purchased my 4th landrover, a 300tdi es disco in mettalic red.:D couple of questions please- 1/ i need to change the exhaust system. if i order a pre-cat system complete with the downpipe will it fit straight on a cat equipped one, removing the cat? 2/ i dont know when the cambelt was last done, are there any markings to show if it has the modified wheels/cover fitted? if not what kit should i get,or do i need to get it taken apart to see what's on there?any recomendations for cambelt fitters in the oxford area?cheers, john.

Yes it should (downpipes should be interchangeable) but beware that some aftermarket exhausts are different design so on some of those you can only change the whole system unless you find the right bit from the right maker! Shouldn't be a problem if you are changing the whole thing though.

There should be a blob of yellow paint on the timing case if it has been modded but the only way to tell 100% is to take the front cover off and have a look.
