Ryan
A friend of my mum's has a P38 with issues. The problem is, the OBD plug/socket on the car that the diagnosis equipment plugs into is corroded and the mechanic cannot get a connection. Is the bit in the car available separately? Or will they have to replace part of the loom? I've tried searching Microcat with no luck. Unfortunately, I know no more about the car at this time, other than it is a V8 and it's blue . Thanks in advance. Ryan
perv
Things like that are usually part of the loom Ryan. Ash.
DaveSIIA
Why not ease one of the pins out of the connector and identify it against the various types available from RS. Order new pins and replace on the end of the cable.
Jon White
Yes they are do a google search for them - the various specialist auto-electrical places do them. Jon

Ally V8
These plugs are a real pain, its the first thing I usually remove when I see one being broken, just chop it out with 6" of the loom and then solder/heatshrink it into the failed car.Breakers are usually happy to sell odd bits like that as the looms are normally binned - unless its a 3.9 v8 engine loom. Moody Blue
Found OBDII plugs at www.carplugs.com $8.00 each for the Female one so I can replace the corroded one under the dash. Cheers Jeff 1985 3.5 litre 1996 P38
