trt1617
this question has probably been asked before but due to the fact of having to go look at a mot fail disco in a bit with a 300 tdi in it and due to my recent problems with my gearbox blowing up was wondering if anyone knows if a 300tdi engine and box will fit intoa 90 wihtout to much hassle and maybe the axels as well to gain disks on the back many thanks in advance
jcwcooper
I dont think the disco boxes fit the 90s. The Discovery has a short stick box and the 90 has a long stick. Some one will come along with a definitve anwser no dout. Dave.
western
Forget the Disco box it won't fit as a straight drop in,but if you change the levers & internal parts it will. or it's possible to connect a 300Tdi to a LT77 how to here Disco transfer box will fit as will the rear disc axle. jericho
Engine - yes Gearbox - no axles - yes Of course you can make anything fit if you really want to.
JST
as Jericho says ^^^ engine - you will need to grind off the old and fit new engine mounts thus keeping the G and T box in the same place as Std and being able to run std shafts.

western
300Tdi has the R380 main gearbox, similar but no interchangable parts AFAIK. the 200Tdi Disco had LT77 boxes.
JST
as Ralp says 300 disco had R380 the lt77 off a 200 disco has a different bell housing, different remote at the top, and longer input shaft i believe.
