jjojjas Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Can't recall the size, but halfrauds do a viscous fan removal spanner/wrech that is the same size, and I believe they only actually sell one size! I remove them without using one, You can take out the smaller bolts that attach the fan to the viscous coupling, then tilt the fan itself to one side enough to remove the viscous coupling with a standard adjustable wrench. dred90 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Share Posted January 13, 2006 and I went out to my garage to check I got it right Cheers Ralph for the "speedy fingers" and Jas for the info, theres one on eblag at the mo but its the wrong size, looks like i'll have to stop trying to buy LR tools for 99p and spend some proper dough at Halfords - still at least I'll be greeted by some knowledgeable creature who when asked "Do you stock Viscous fan wrenches?" will take me to the air freshener section!! cheers guys..
