Changing The Fuel Filter

On my 90 RRC 3.9, I pull up the button on the crash sensor (under the passenger seat) while the engine is running and wait for it to stall :) Even so when I split the pipe there was some spillage, but no spurt.

I would think that an 89 is similar.

Edited: Lifting the crash sensor button effectively switches off the fuel pump.

Hi Ben matey, I done the filter on my 92 RRC, the manual also told me to depressurise the system, all i done was start the engine, let it idle and then pull the fuel pump fuse out, Then changed the filter with no probs.

Hope that helps
