Peter
I remember quite a few years back M4x4 sold a modified 300tdi timing cover with a breather in the side of it. Does anyone know if these are available elsewhere, and what the benefit of it is ?
Mo Murphy
Peter, I just made my own by drilling a hole in the upper part of the small inspection cover and fitted an elbow air fitting, just like all the other breathers that I've done. Bush65
HiYou should be able to replace the wading plug with a push fit elbow, its 1/4bsp thread Mike I use elbow fittings in place of the wading plugs in both, timing cover and bell housing, and run clear tubing to inline filters in the engine bay. Retroanaconda
I use elbow fittings in place of the wading plugs in both, timing cover and bell housing, and run clear tubing to inline filters in the engine bay. Surely that won't allow any oil to drain out that needs to?
Bush65
Surely that won't allow any oil to drain out that needs to? By using clear tubing I can tell if I have a leak and take appropriate action. In fact it aids detecting a problem before it becomes severe.
