Mack
The vacuum brake pump just broke and replaced by LR012183. Is this the new/old model?

Eduardo
Mack, Finally you got the new one Looks like a "normal" problem for the Pumas (mine failed in May, but was replaced by the old one ) Regards! Eduardo
JST
is this the 'dirt ingress' problem/ misalignment problem?
MJIbex
is this the 'dirt ingress' problem/ misalignment problem? I'm interested in this thread because its what I was considering replacing my GM pump with. I had a look today the LR retail price is in the high £300's, eek!!! But found this as a bit more reasonable. e-bay link However if this needs an oil supply this brings around another problem! Mark.

In deed it uses the engine oil.
disco_al
this was a common problem on the transit's/mondeo's with the same(ish) engines. the O ring on the back used to leak. IIRC Ford released an updated pump for them.
gemsbok
My second vacuum pump, which was the new version, has just sprayed the engine compartment with oil. So when are they going to come up with something that does not do this every 20,000KM? Anyone know how many Pumas this is affecting? Am I just really unlucky? Cheers Ruaraidh
