Steve 90
Ive googled this and got lots of conflicting answers so I dont trust any of them. Ive searched the forum and found lots of interesting stuff that was good reading but no answer to tank capacity. Can anyone tell me how much fuel a tank on an early 90 (the one under the drivers seat) Will hold???? Cheers. Steve.
Reynolds_90
The good old Haynes book of lies says that 'all models except station wagons - 68 litres' and that station wagons have a 45.5 litre tank. This fits with our 90 CSW as a 3/4 fill of the tank is aprox. 35 litres. Hope that helps.
roybatty666
I have a 1990 90 van back (was a td now 200tdi) and it takes around 50 litres
sas pinkie
When ever we POL ours we are told to put 47Ltrs in, and it always seems to work. Not accurate, but a ball park figure......
headdamage
I have an extra rear tank so I sometimes run my side tank right dry... when I do this it takes about 60L to fill it right up.
western
IIRC a 90's underseat tank should hold 12 gallons or about 60 ish litres.
