AndyEvans
today after not driving my 90 for a while ive noticed that the steering is acting weird. its feels lumpy when u try to turn the wheel stiff to move sometimes then easy. also it doesnt want to spin back when u let go. its got enough oil for the pump, dosnt make any noises, its a 6 bolt box and a 300tdi pump if that helps thanks Andy
Orange
Maybe the steering UJs need a little lubrication, or even replacing??
orangemach5
Is the belt nice and tight? Could be the belt slipping under load.

discomikey
mine did that when i had it, i thought that the belt was fine but i tightened it up as much as possible using a BIG crowbar and my heavy self and now it is fine. mikey
pinny
if i go through water the belt slips and the steering dont feel right for a while or until it dries out i roughened up the back of the belt with sandpaper and this has cured it for a while or until the belt goes smooth again. chris
