Stu2985
Changed my thermostat on my 300 tdi old one looked almost new and rubber was mint in fact I almost left it where it was and returned new one. However I swopped em out anyway omg what a difference - after a couple of miles and a few minutes the heater was toasty as anything what an amazing difference. definately the best £5 i ever spent on the landy

BogMonster
All 300 thermostats are 88 deg the last engine with different temperature stats was the old 2.5 petrol I think. A new stat makes a huge difference even if you think your old one is working properly you usually find out it wasn't as properly as you thought. I am almost inclined to change mine at the start of every winter for all it costs, and always fit a genuine one because the cost is still minimal. weasel_110
Have to agree about changing it every year....mine was only starting to warm up after 10/15 miles, so I thought for the cost, it was worth a try. The one I took out had the rubber seal displaced, new one in and the needle starts to climb now after a mile and, half way to work heater is toasty! Best fiver I have ever spent on the Landie! Cheers Gary
