Hi

I am sorry to keep posting for help but have many real problems and it just gets worse.

P38 dse, poor starter, went to fit " hot start fix with timer" tonight, as I pulled the glow plug timer from the ecm box the feed to the glow plug timer touched the casing of the engine ecm, now it wont start, no glow plug lights, no injector light, everyting else works, cant see a fuse problem.

Have I killed the ecm !!

The feed wire you used to zap the ECU with, does it still have 12V on it?

I would not think zapping the case would cause a problem but may have blown a fuse in that line.

Steve

That would be my guess as well. Worth checking both fuseboxes and perhaps even the relays. I don't have the electrical trouble shooting manual here at work, but if you can find one, it would help narrowing the search!
