02jcole
Can anyone suggest a supplier where I can purchase a 52mm VDO rev counter for my 300tdi defender, someone suggested a company called low tension? I know of croytec, but their prices seem really expensive James

Gavin Hatton
What about a rev counter that doesn't go to 8000rpm, some how I think that amount of revs is a little optimistic for my 200tdi? I've found a Durite one, are they any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=310120782664
western
Try Europa Spares VDO Vision rev counter 52mm & 80mm you need the 52mm version. Vdo actually make the 52mm rev counter that was fitted to V8 50th 90's [my rev counter is one of those] the link above gives 0 to 6000rpm which is fine for a Tdi

LandyManLuke
No. You need a rev counter that will work with the waveform from the W terminal on the alternator, as apposed to the ignition/coil firing events used for a standard petrol rev counter.
