bsmith
I have seen some worrying threads about using EP90 GL5 in the Land Rover Defender Gearbox and transmition. My Beast is a 1996 300 TDI CSW can anyone say for sure if the GL5 spec is ok or must it be GL4. Bob
western
Defender workshop manual shows GL4 or GL5 as acceptable for LT230 transfer box, & axles.

Thanks Western, I saw that to, my worry was when I went to the Makers site "Comma" they were recomending GL4 for most Land Rover applications. I suppose LR should know, I'll just go with it as I have it now and just hope its not an expensive mistake Thanks for you quick responce, you always there to help Bob
western
Provided it meets or exceeds the specifications above it'll be fine, I just use Halfords GL4 spec EP90 in my Transfer box/axles.
