SteveG
Hello all What are cordless grinders like compared to corded?? I had garage broken into and most of tools nicked. So need to buy new cordless drill with batteries etc. You can pick up cordless dewalt 18v grinders for about £70 so about same as decent corded grinder. So I was thinking of getting one. kkk2
I have one but to be honest its not up to much, handy for the odd stubborn bolt but I still use corded ones for anything else, however mine is not a DeWalt but is 18v
fender1234
I have the dewalt 18v one and i love it, its so conveniant, i have 2 batterys which you do need realy. its not realy upto big jobs though. I find its useful for small jobs but i would get a corded one aswell for bigger jobs.

nick w
if your renewing stuff or just buying a grinder make sure you buy stuff with lithium ion batteries its so much better and ni cad is slowley being phased out all the traders have what look like brilliant offers on cordless gear but its just them trying to get rid of out dated ni cad stuff
SteveG
Ok thanks for responses. Sounds ok for me then, as I mostly use it for small cutting jobs, bolts brackets and broken leaf spring holders in the past and the odd grinding job. So it's sounds like it wlll be ok for me and I like the versatility of a cordless one. Cheers Steve

My batteries had started to go quite a while a go on the old sets, so for the extra bit of money now it seems worthwhile to go for better batts.
