mpb Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I was just looking at ebay & found these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-H3-Xenon-9-SMD-LED-HeadLight-Car-Bulb-LAMP-HID-SUPER_W0QQitemZ140348472583QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item20ad6bbd07&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Has anyone tried them. I thought they would be a good idea for my worklights. Giving me a low current draw. Many thanks Marin Quote
FridgeFreezer Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Well they can't be Xenon HID AND LED and I' be very surprised if they kicked out the same light as an H3 bulb. Quote
disco_al Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 had a quick dig around about these, and apparently they kick out enough light to be used as a sidelamp, and that's about it - useless as fog/drive lamps though. Quote
mpb Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Cheers for the info. Don't think i'll bother then. Cheers Quote

If they can't manage foglamp brightness with that number of big LED's glued to them then they're worse than I thought. Quote
Outdoor Ed Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I actually have something similar in my worklight on the back of my 90 they are pretty bright however they don't have the directional light of a halogen bulb and are not quite as bright either. If you are only wanting it for working relatively close to the back of your vehicle then I would say they are fine but otherwise stick with the halogen! Quote
