dotong
Hi, recently did some welding repairs to the chassis of my 90 pickup but forgot to disconnect the battery. when i realised, i went to start it to see if i had damaged the battery, it didnt start but after a jump it did start. after a long run thinking it would recharge the battery, i stopped, cut the engine and tried to start it and the engine wouldnt even turn over. the battery still shows 12v on multimeter. what would i have damaged???? cheers donnie
LandyManLuke
What does the battery voltage do whilst you're cranking? if it drops to a few volts, it's a dead battery. what voltage do you get across the battery when the engine's running?
