Muttland Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Serie III has a little voltage regulator fixed in the back of the Speedo, used in serie w/ the temp and the fuel level. rtbarton Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 It supplies a constant voltage to the fuel & temperature gauges so they read accurately over a range of battery voltages. I've had nothing but trouble with solid state replacments so have gone back to the old dinosour technology as it just doesnt go wrong! Muttland Posted January 27, 2010 Author Share Posted January 27, 2010 Hi: I bought two VOLTAGE REGULATOR LM 7810 and two capasitors One for each gauge The imput voltage is 12-14 Volts the output of the LM 7810 is 10 Volts The maximun consumition of the LM 7810 IS 150 mA ¿What is the consumition of the guage, Temp, and Fuel level? The capasitor will located between the output and the grd. I w`use a aluminium dissipator with White silicon between them. Please correct me if it is necesary.
