Martin90
Hi, I was wondering if anybody has any info on Japanese spec D90's? Are they LHD? I found this http://www.eastcoastrover.com/INFOD90.html but nothing more! Cheers, Martin
Bowie69
Well, all the Jap imports I have ever seen have the steering wheel on the correct side (RHD), don't see why this should be any different for a LR.
Orange
The pictures in the link given show them as LHD and it sounds like they were just a slightly different spec to the NAS ones, but just the same underneath... You might find that somewhere like Dunsfold would be able to shed a lot more light on them.
Mo Murphy
The Japanese drive on the left as we do so their vehicles are rhd. Mo
Unsworth
every Jap vehicle I have seen has had the steering wheel on the right also. Such as Pajeros, Hilux Surfs, Imprezzas and jap import Discos Never, ever seen a left hand drive jap car
Martin90
Thanks for the responses, agree with all the comments regarding japanese cars generally being RHD but I have seen a few '97 japanese import V8 90's here that are LHD and you cannot register a RHD car or a car converted to RHD as they check the VIN for original configuration. From what I can gather they may have been "left over" NAS 90's as '97 was the last year LR sold the 90 in the US due to legislation. Dunsfold is a good idea too - cheers! I've attached a pic of one, any further info appreciated. Thanks, Martin
