Lando
As far as I've heard, it is being badged as a Rangie and to be honest, that probably suits. I'd love to see how it performs off-road too. First time I saw it I though it was a new Freelander actually. No matter what, it looks cool as, and until I can have a go, I'll just read about it. The tech even sounds cool! Launched in Detroit in 2008, so where is it now!!! check it out... LRX Concept Detroit
Oilworker
I would prefer if they would finally offer the Defender Hybrid.... Ricardo Special Vehicles has been working on it for so long now...
simonr
I would prefer if they would finally offer the Defender Hybrid.... Ricardo Special Vehicles has been working on it for so long now... Following the success of my Electric Freelander (Coming to a mag near you soon) - I've been considering a hybrid RRS. Essentially using the eleccy motor to drive the front wheels, loose the transfer box and use the diesel to drive the rear. In total add 250 kg to the vehicle weight in motor and batteries - and give it tax exempt status. Although the design of this looks quite cool - unfortunately it looks like land rover are loosing focus on their core market and starting to produce cars that look more like every other car on the road - which is a shame I think. disco_al
Was it inspired by the truck in Judge Dread? A couple of those used tolive behind the showroom at Hartwell Landrover in Cumnor, remember seeing them when i was down there on training courses. The LRX does look nice, but i hope the production version is a little less wild on the inside.
