Orgasmic Farmer
Very interesting bit on last page about exceptions from needing IVA/type approval. Possibly needs investigating since it may only apply to bikes but the wording might also mean it could also apply to challenge trucks/trials trucks?? bishbosh
It is a voluntary scheme, purely intended to aid vehicle recovery in the event of theft. No need for IVA or type approval unless you want to use the vehicle on the road. Well, that's my understanding of it anyhow.
missingsid
Hmmm, do I trust the government once they know of a whole load of vehicles that can be taxed later if they feel like it? Marc.
Night Train
Hmmm, do I trust the government once they know of a whole load of vehicles that can be taxed later if they feel like it? Marc. Cynical, and just my thoughts too. I just don't trust the Government with any more knowledge about my personal and legitimate information then they need to know. The thing about theft is a red herring in my opinion, unless they eventually want a data base of everything that we own to make theft recovery easier.
