chassi protection

Recommended Posts

Personally each time I go off roading, water pours out of the chassis rails. So external coating is only probably 30% effective as the inside will stay wet and rot away much faster.

I assume I am right in saying you ideally need one of those complete waxoiling services that can do some internally?

I have a little welding to do before i continue waxoyling mine - nothing major, a hole behind the gearbox crossmember. Once i have done the outside, i would like to find someone with the correct tools to do the inside, as i'm just not convinced i can do that properly myself. When i changed the rear cross member last summer, the inside of the chassis rails did look in really good condition - what i could see seemed to be mostly covered in paint!
