Unsworth
My rear prop on my D90 needs a pair of new UJ's (They only last 3 months). I would like to buy a press to fit them myself easily instead of abusing a vice and hammers etc.. I want a hydraulic press but have got my eyes on this arbor press, Would it be good enough for the job? http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/1-ton-arbor-press/path/hydraulic-presses
FridgeFreezer
If your UJ's only last 3 months I'd advise buying a grease gun, not a press Vice should be fine for the job.

I grease them every couple of weeks anyway, I just think its down to the tiddle poor quality of the UJ's I am buying.. Sooner have a press than the small vice I currently use
mike4444244
Why not spend a couple of quid extra and buy GKN/Hardy Spicer OEM UJs, you'd get your money back in 6 months... as above vice is better for changing them
Bowie69
UJs don't need a press, they should push in easily in a vice, if you need more force than that expect a needle to explode out the back of the cap...

If only an answer to this problem were to become self-evident somehow
Ally V8
Reminds me of Cleese,"State the bleedin obvious"....... Anyone else think about the waste of materials and energy used in making cr-p quality components like these ?
