western
Should only need 2 soleniods as shown in the circuit.maybe the other pair are new or used spares, I've changed the can type soleniods to a Albright soleniod pack, which is much more releable & fuly waterproof. this one
LandyManLuke
You do need all four solenoids, if they're just simple single contact solenoids. They should be be connected to each other with metal/copper strips. Are they? If they're not, you'll need to form the H-bridge yourself, how you do so will mostly depend on how they're physically mounted. can you provide a photo? TSD
I'd guess the solenoids are single pole types, like this one? :- I've seen them used on older Warn winches, in particular with permanent magnet motors. They can be used with series wound winch motors as well though. (I had an M8000 with PM motor and solenoids like that). Can you confirm how many terminals are on the solenoids, and on the motor (and maybe post pics)? Then I'm sure someone will beat me to providing a schematic for you Dave
TSD
I should learn to read better, you already said the solenoids are single pole (2 large, 2 small terminals). Does the motor have 2,3 or 4 terminals?

TSD
OK, I think this is right, but maybe a grown-up will check it before you start wiring?

MrLeadfoot
could you use two starter solonoids? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110619576301&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT these are on ebay
Bowie69
No, they aren't continuously rated like a proper winch solenoid is.
